If you're like the majority of the good folks in the cannabis community, you've never heard of THCO Acetate. Don't beat yourself up too much. Your cannabis card (which acts like a guy card) will not be revoked because you're not a "real" pothead.

THC-O, like THC oil and CBD oil, is not covered widely and does not lend itself to DIY. In addition, some very unpleasant chemistry is required for an in-depth analysis of this out-of-the-ordinary material.

Since such is the case, most people will automatically rule out THC-O as an option. Unfortunately, as cannabis legalization spreads throughout the world, THC-O is coming out of the shadows as a competitive (and potent) option for both recreational and medical use.

THC-O-Phosphate, a chemically related compound, is water soluble but dissolves slowly. Because of this, the effects are lazier and weaker than they would be with a regular THC molecule. Who needs that if nobody else does?

Consequently, does this mean that THC-O is also soluble in water? I'm afraid not. THC-O is not soluble in water. The molecule is processed by the same filtration system in your body as other fat-soluble substances.

Because of these barriers, fewer THC-O molecules are absorbed into the bloodstream after consumption.

While this whole water-soluble vs. non-water-soluble argument may seem like bad news, there is some positive news: The molecules of THCO Acetate are many times more potent than those of the THC used in common smoking, dabbing, and consumption methods.

The filtering mechanism reduces the number of THC-O molecules that can reach the brain, but those that do will still have a profound effect.
